A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1975-4, THE
SEISMIC SAFETY AND PUBLIC SAFETY ELEMENT, TO THE
GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA (Planning
Commission Resolution No. 2591).
• The City Council of the City of,West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following revision and amendment to the General
Plan of the City of West Covina was duly initiated, that notice of
hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public hearings
thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and by the City
Council and that the public convenience, necessity and general
welfare require that the following revision and amendment to the
General Plan be made.
SECTION 2. Amendment No. 1975-4, the Seismic Safety
and.Public Safety Element, to the General Plan of the City of West
Covina is hereby adopted. A copy of Amendment No. 1975-4, the Seismic
Safety and Public Safety Element, is on file in the office of the
City Clerk and is, by this reference, incorporated herein and made
a part hereof.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find and declare
that the negative declaration of environmental impact prepared by
the Planning Department and approved by the Planning Commission,
after notice and public hearing, is adequate, has been prepared in
accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and
the State Guidelines, and is hereby adopted by the City Council. The
• City Council does also find and declare that the component parts of
the General Plan, as amended, will enhance and protect the environ-
ment of the City of West Covina.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
