Resolution - 5065• • RESOLUTION NO. 5065 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA CREATING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Engineer having filed his report with the City Council recommending the formation of Underground Utility District No. 3, the City Council upon notice given as required bylaw, having held a public hearing upon the forma- tion of said district, the City Council hereby finds that the public necessity, health and welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supply- ing electric communication or similar or associated services within the territory included in Underground Utility District No. 3 as hereinafter described. SECTION 2. Underground Utility District No. 3 is hereby formed and created consisting of that territory included within the following described boundaries: See attached "EXHIBIT A" SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that a reasonable time within which to remove poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground instal- laction of wires and facilities for supplying electric communi- cation or similar or associated services within Underground Utility,District No. 3 is V,May: 1, 1976. All such overhead facilities shall be removed and installed underground and all affected property owners shall be ready to receive underground service prior to that date. SECTION 4. Within ten days after the date of the adoption of this resolution the City Clerk shall notify all utilities having lines or facilities within Underground Utility District No. 3 and all persons owning real property required to convert their electrical and/or communication facilities for underground service. Notification shall be made by mailing a copy of this resolution, a copy of Chapter 6 of Article VII of the West Covina Municipal Code together with a statement that if the owner or occupant of property affected by the district desires to continue to receive electric, communi- cation or similar or associated service, it will be necessary to provide those facility changes on the premises required to receive such service :from the lines of the supplying utility or utilities at a new underground location. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Resolution No. 5065 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of June, 1975. Parcel'II - Vincent Avenue Bounded northerly by the southerly line of the Walnut Creek Wash, as existed on June 15,.1975; and bounded southeasterly by the westerly line of Glendora Avenue. Parcel III - Christopher.Street • Bounded easterly by the westerly line of Glendora Avenue; and bounded westerly by the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of that certain 24-foot easement for ingress, egress and public utility purposes.
