A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA VACATING A CERTAIN
PORTION OF WOODLANE DRIVE AND RESERVING
• AND ACCEPTING IN FAVOR OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA CERTAIN RIGHTS AND EASEMENTS
LOCATED THEREIN FOR PUBLIC UTILITY AND
OTHER PURPOSES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 27th day of May, 1975, at a regular
meeting of said Council, Resolution No. 5048 was duly adopted
by a vote of said Council setting the time for hearing on the
proposed vacation of a certain portion of Woodlane Drive
located within the City of West Covina:
(b) That said area, proposed to be vacated is
more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Woodlane Drive, 50.00 feet wide, in the City
of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as shown on Tract Map No. 31095, per map recorded in Book 799,
Pages 99 and 100 of Maps on file in the office of the County
• Recorder of said county, bounded as follows:
Bounded easterly by the southerly prolongation of the
easterly line of Lot 26 of said tract; bound westerly
by the following described line: Beginning at the
northerly terminus of that certain curve, shown on
Lot 22 of said tract, being concave northeasterly and
having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence southerly in a
direct line to a,point of tangency with a curve that
is concave easterly and having a radius of 12:50"feet,
said curve is shown on Lot 27 of said tract.
RESERVING AND EXCEPTING ALSO from said vacation the
permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove, and renew sanitary sewers, storm drains and
appurtenant structures thereof and to construct, main-
tain, operate, replace, remove, renew, and enlarge lines
of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other
convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation and for the transportation or distribution of
electric energy and water lines, including access and
the right to keep the property free from inflammable
materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the
same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street or
part thereof proposed to be vacated.
• (c) That on the 9th day of June, 1975, at a regular
Council meeting the said City Council did hold a public hearing
to determine whether the said area above -described should be
vacated as a public street.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and
declared by the City Council of the City of West Covina,
after hearing the evidence adduced., that the above -
described portion of Woodlane Drive within the City of
West Covina -is not necessary for present or prospective
public street purposes and the general welfare and con-
venience of the City of West Covina require that the same
be vacated. The said portion of Woodlane Drive above -
described hereby is vacated as a public street.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and cause the same to be re-
corded with the office of the Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles and to file all other necessary documents in
order that this vacation become effective.
