A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA CONSENTING TO A JOINT
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE EASTLAND REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AND THE
DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT; AUTHORIZING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE THEREFOR; AND PUBLICATION
OF NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of West
Covina by resolution consented to a joint public hearing on the pro-
posed Redevelopment Plan for the Eastland Redevelopment Project
and the Draft Environmental Impact Report on said proposed Redevel-
opment Plan for the Project, and requested that the City Council
of the City of West Covina consent to such joint public hearing and
authorize the City Clerk to establish a date therefor; and
WHEREAS, the consent of both the West Covina Redevelopment
Agency and the City Council is required by the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code, Section 33355) in order
to conduct such joint public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina
hereby consents to a joint public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment
Plan for the Eastland Redevelopment Project and the Draft Environ-
mental Impact Report on said proposed Redevelopment Plan for the
Project; and hereby authorizes the City Clerk to establish a date
therefor.
• SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall, in cooperation with
the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
West Covina, publish and mail a notice of joint public hearing on
said proposed Redevelopment Plan and said Draft Environmental Impact
Report at the time, in the manner, and with the other documents
as required and established by law.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk. shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
