A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA CERTIFYING THAT THE
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE VINCENT
AVENUE WIDENING AND THE CALIFORNIA AVENUE
REALIGNMENT AND MODIFICATION PROJECT IS
ADEQUATE AND IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
GUIDELINES.
WHEREAS, the City Council has under consideration a
public project in connection with the widening of Vincent Avenue
and including the installation of a revised median island and
modification of existing traffic signal systems and the realign-
ment, reconstruction and modification of California Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a draft Environmental Impact Report has been
prepared in connection with the above described project and submitted
for appropriate public review and comment; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the draft Environmental
Impact Report was held before the City Planning Commission on April
16, 1975, and May 7, 1975, at which time public testimony was
received, public comments on the draft Environmental Impact Report
were made, and responses to comments have been made by the City; and
the Planning Commission has recommended that the City Council
certify the Final Environmental Impact Report as adequate and in
conformance with the State Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, an additional public hearing has been held
before the City Council on the Environmental Impact Report and
additional public testimony and comments received;
. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby certifies that the
Final Environmental Impact Report for the Vincent Avenue Widening
and the California Avenue Realignment and Modification Project has
been completed in accordance with the California Environmental
Quality Act and the State Guidelines adopted in connection therewith,
and that the City Council has reviewed and considered the information
contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
