Resolution - 5049RESOLUTION NO. 5049 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING EILEEN BROWN FOR HER SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, EILEEN BROWN began working for the City of West Covina on a part-time basis in 1952; and WHEREAS, after eight years of working in this capacity, and while in the course of demonstrating her many talents and qualifications in conjunction with several different City departments, MRS. BROWN was hired in 1960 to the full-time position of Administrative Secretary in the City Manager's office; and WHEREAS, EILEEN BROWN assumed the duties and subsequent responsibilities of Administrative Secretary with the utmost sincerity and devotion to duty and her outstanding performance as Administrative Secretary was an exemplary one; and WHEREAS, throughout her tenure in the City, MRS. BROWN displayed an attitude and character indicative of the fundamental precepts of professionalism and was admired and emulated by City staff as the epitome of conscientiousness, dedication, and fortitude; and WHEREAS, EILEEN BROWN won the immediate admiration of, everyone she came in contact with; and WHEREAS, EILEEN. BROWN chose to enter retirement on December 31, 1974, after 23 years of responsible service to the City of West Covina, and is only as unforgettable as the void left in the City in light of her premature departure. *NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby commends EILEEN BROWN for her many significant contributions to the existence and furtherance of good government for the citizens of this commun i ty; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and.. shall transmit a certified copy thereof to EILEEN BROWN. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 28th DAY OF APRIL, 1975.
