RESOLUTION NO. 5045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA COMMENDING IRVING FRIEDBERG FOR HIS
YEARS OF LOYAL SERVICE TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA.
WHEREAS, IRVING FRIEDBERG served the City of West Covina for 20
years in a volunteer capacity as Radiological Chief
staffing the Office of Emergency Services; and
WHEREAS, his outstanding citizenship and interest in the com-
munity has promoted many worthy causes including
recycling activities and support of El Monte's Hope
House for retarded children; and
WHEREAS, his humanitarian and active concern over the plight
of Southern California's senior citizens has involved
Mr. Friedberg in Temple Beth Ami's Senior Citizens'
Club.and the Covina Senior Citizens' Club as well as
the Council on Aging for the United Way; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Friedberg's bilingual ability is further enhanced
by his services to the Tri-Community Adult Education
School teaching English to our communities' Spanish
speaking adults; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Friedberg's attitude toward bettering his fellow
citizens and his community has been enthusiastic,
determined, and exemplary:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City .Council of the City
of West Covina hereby commends IRVING FRIEDBERG for
his dedication and expresses its best wishes to Mr.
Friedberg in all his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a
certified copy thereof to IRVING FRIEDBERG.
