A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING
TO AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
TO APPROVE THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY FROM THE CITY OF COVINA TO THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA PURSUANT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 35270 TO 35280 OF THE
GOVERNMENT CODE
WHEREAS, the cities of Covina and West Covina are contiguous
and the City Council of each city desires to transfer certain territory now
included in the City of Covina to the City of West Covina, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina desires
to initiate proceedings pursuant to Sections 35270 to 35280 of the Government
Code of the State of California for the transfer of territory hereinafter
described from the City of Covina to the City of West Covina;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby consent to the transfer of certain territory within the City of
Covina to the City of West Covina, said territory being described as follows:
The easterly 26' of Lot 2 in Block 27 of Phillips Tract
in the City of Covina, in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 9
Pages 3 and 4, Miscellaneous Records of said County.
Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County
0 of Los Angeles and the City Clerk of the City of Covina.

Section 3. The City Clerk shallcertify to the passage and
adoption of the foregoing resolution and the same shall thereupon take effect
and be in force .
