RESOLUTION NO. 4996
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DENYING AN APPLICATION FOR AN
UNCLASSIFIED USE PERMIT AND A VARIANCE, AND
DISAPPROVING A TENTATIVE TRACT MAP (Unclassified
Use Permit No. 200, Variance No. 710, Tentative
Tract No. 29868 - Ken Wilson)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. Ken Wilson applied to the Planning
Commission for the approval of an Unclassified Use Permit, a
Variance and the approval of a tentative tract map to permit
the conversion of an existing 85 unit apartment house to con-
dominiums. The Planning Commission, by its Resolution No. 2562
granted the permit and variance and approved the tentative tract
map subject to certain conditions. The City Council called up
the Conditional Use Permit, the Variance and the Tentative Tract
Map for further consideration and review.
SECTION 2. The City Council, after notice and public
hearing, does hereby find and determine that the proposed use of the
property for condominiums would be detrimental to the property in
the immediate vicinity and the physical characteristics of the
property and the existing development are not suitable for conversion
to condominiums.
SECTION 3. Unclassified Use Permit No. 200 and Variance
No. 710 are hereby denied, and Tentative Tract No. 29868 is hereby
disapproved.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
