Resolution - 34180 • RESOLUTION NO. 3418 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA COMMENDING DONALD COLVIN FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICES TO THE CITY WHEREAS, Donald Colvin became a member of the West Covina Police Department in September, 1960; and WHEREAS, through his devotion of time and study during his training period and tour of duty as a regular police officer he prepared himself for and was promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant in October, 1963; and WHEREAS, his experience and specialized training in the application of modern police methods were particularly valuable to him when he was called on':to'assist a fellow officer in apprehending and disarming a person suspected of armed robbery; and WHEREAS, his assistance was such that the suspect was relieved of his weapons and taken into custody without further trouble; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby commends Police Sergeant Colvin for his outstanding services to this city and extends to him their thanks and appreciation on behalf of our citizens for the gratifying results of his efforts. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to Donald Colvin.
