RESOLUTION NO.- 3417
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA COMMENDING KENNETH FORSTER
FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICES TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, Kenneth Forster has served the City of West
Covina as a police officer and regular member of the West
Covina Police Department since September, 1958; and
WHEREAS, during his training period and tour of duty
as a regular police officer he continued his studies of the
application and implementation of modern police methods and
cooperation with other police officers under extreme pressure
and circumstances; and
WHEREAS, on June 14, 1966, Officer Forster was called
upon to use his specialized training when he was required to
pursue, apprehend and disarm a person suspected of armed robbery.;
and
WHEREAS, Officer Forster did apprehend the suspect
and at great danger to himself and with the assistance of a
fellow officer proceeded in such a manner that the suspect
was disarmed and taken into custody without further trouble;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of West Covina hereby commends Officer Forster of the
• West Covina Police Department for his display of courage and
ability under dangerous circumstances, thus reflecting his fine
character and the excellent training he has received, and
extends to him their thanks and appreciation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that
