A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT
NO. 203.
WHEREAS, on May 9, 1966, a Petition on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of West Covina was presented
to the City Council of the City of West Covina requesting the
Council to give its consent to the commencement of annexation
proceedings in connection with that certain inhabited territory
therein referred to and generally described, which is contiguous
to the City of West Covina; and
WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of West Covina for investigation, report
and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and
recommendation to the Council on -the loth day of June, 1966s favoring
the commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to give its
consent to the commencement of such annexation proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of West Covina:
1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the commence-
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited terri-
tory in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913.
2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby is
designated as Southerly Annexation District No. 2030 and is described
as follows:
That portion of the Rancho La Puente in the County of Los
Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book
1, Pages 43 and 44 of Patents in the office of the County
Recorder of said county described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Fairgrove and
Sunset Avenues as shown on Tract No. 14068 recorded in
Book 623, Pages 35 and 36 of Maps, records of said county;
thence northwesterly along the centerline of Fairgrove
Avenue to the intersection with the centerline of Orange
Avenue; thence northeasterly along the centerline of
Orange Avenue to the intersection with the centerline
of Francisquito Avenue; thence northwesterly along the
centerline of Francisquito Avenue to the intersection
with the northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly
line of Tract No. 20966 as per map recorded in Book 588,
Pages 91 and 92 of Maps, records of said county; thence
southwesterly along said northwesterly line to the
• intersection with the northeasterly line of Tract No.
20949 as per map recorded in Book 573, Pages 36-39
inclusive of Maps, records of said county; thence
northwesterly along said northeasterly line to the center-
line of Puente Avenue; thence southwesterly along the
centerline of Puente Avenue to the intersection with the
southwesterly boundary of said Tract No. 20949; thence
southeasterly along said southwesterly boundary and
• southeasterly along the southwesterly boundary of the
Tract No. 22048 as per map recorded in Book 593, Pages
22-24 inclusive of baps, records of said county, to the
intersection with the centerline of Willow Avenue; thence
southwesterly along the centerline of Willow Avenue to
the intersection with the centerline of Amar Road; thence
southeasterly along the centerline of Amar Road to the
intersection with the southwesterlyy prolongation of the
southeasterly line of Tract No. 14552 as per map recorded
in Book 603, Pages 9 and 10 of Naps, records of said county;
thence northeasterly along said southeasterly boundary
to the intersection with the southerly line of Shaver
Street as shown on said Tract No. 14852, said point of
intersection being on a tangent curve concave to the north;
thence easterly along said curve to the intersection with
the southwesterly line of said tract; thence southeasterly
along said southwesterly line and the southeasterly prolonga-
tion thereof to the intersection with the southeasterly
line of the City of La Puente; thence southwesterly thereon
to the centerline of Amar Road; thence southeasterly thereon
to the intersection with the centerline of Sunset Avenue;
thence northeasterly along said centerline to the point
of beginning.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of Jun`, 1966s
by the following vote of the Council:
