RESOLUTION NO. 3377
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF,CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT
NO. 202.
WHEREAS, on April 11, 1966, a Petition on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of West Covina was presented
to the City Council of the City of West Covina requesting the
Council to give its consent to the commencement of annexation
proceedings in connection with that certain inhabited territory
therein referred to and generally described, which is contiguous
to the City of West Covina; and
WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of West Covina for investigation, report
and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and
recommendation to the Council on the 9th day of May, 1966, favoring
the commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to give its
consent to the commencement of such annexation proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of West Covina:
1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the commence-
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited terri-
tory in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913.
2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby is
designated as Southerly Annexation District No. 29?, and is described
as follows:
Lots 3742 375, 381 and 382 of Tract 606 in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in
Book 15 Pages 142-143 of Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, bounded as follows:
On the southwest by the center line of Amar Road, on the
northwest by the center line of Sunset Avenue, on the
northeast by the center line of Fairgrove Street, on the
southeast by the center line of California Avenue.
3.. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
Adopted and approved this 23rd dayoe MaY 1966.
T hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of May 1966,
by the following vote of the Council:
