A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA APPROVING PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN NO.
489 AND GRANTING VARIANCE NO. 585. (Richard Hughes)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that there was filed with the Planning Commission the application of
Richard Hughes requesting approval of Precise Plan of Design No.
489 upon property located at 2529 East Workman Avenue and described
in Planning Commission Resolutions Nos. 1887 and 1888 on the first
page thereof, and a petition for a variance upon the same property
for the construction and operation of an automotive repair center
and expansion of a non -conforming sign; that a hearing thereon was
duly conducted by the Planning Commission and that the Planning
Commission granted said application subject to certain conditions;
that the matter was appealed to the City Council and that the City
Council has held a hearing thereon, and that proper and legal notice
of said hearings was duly given.
SECTION 2. It is hereby found and determined by the City
Council that said precise plan is acceptable and should be approved
and that facts exist justifying the granting of said variance under
the West Covina Municipal Code, subject to the conditions hereinafter
mentioned.
SECTION 3. Said proposed Precise Plan of Design No. 489
as submitted to this meeting, is hereby approved and adopted subject
to the conditions hereinafter mentioned and a variance is hereby
granted as requested subject to the conditions set forth in Planning
Commission Resolutions Nos. 1887 and 1888 adopted April 6, 19662
and the violation of or failure to comply with any of said conditions
shall be grounds for the revocation of this approval and this
variance.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to
applicant.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of May 1966,
by the following vote of the Council:
