A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA COMMENDING ROBERT N. HEATH
FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
of
WHEREAS, ROBERT N. HEATH was elected to the City Council
by the people of the City of West Covina in April, 1958, for a
full four year term and was re-elected for another four year term
in April, 1962; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT N. HEATH was elected by the City Council
in 1960 to serve as Mayor for the ensuing year, and was again
elected in 1961 to serve an additional year as Mayor; and
WHEREAS, during his eight year tenure in office as Mayor
and Councilman the City of West Covina increased rapidly in area,
population and assessed valuation and consequently in fiscal,
administrative, planning, transportation and flood control prob-
lems associated with such tremendous growth; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT N. HEATH devoted many hours of time
and attention in addition to his duties as Mayor and Councilman
toward the development and application of modern techniques and
methods of resolving the many problems in order that the growth
and expansion of the City and its departments would be progressive
and orderly; and
WHEREAS, his devotion of time and talent toward resoly-
• ing these problems in an efficient and diligent manner led to
public support and confidence in the decisions made by the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1'.. That the City Council hereby commends
ROBERT N. HEATH for his fine contribution to the progress and
development of the City of West Covina and expresses to him on
behalf of all our citizens, City employees and staff, their
thanks and appreciation for the gratifying results of his efforts.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a certified copy
thereof to said ROBERT N. HEATH. /
