A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES., STATE
OF CALIFORNIA) REQUESTING THAT CITY MANAGER
GEORGE AIASSA, AND/OR OTHERS, BE AUTHORIZED
TO MAKE INQUIRIES OF THE STATE BOARD OF EQUAL-
IZATION AT SACRAMENTO ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA REGARDING CITY SALES TAX
WHEREAS, the City Council.of the City of West Covina
deems it necessary and appropriate to satisfactorily comprehend
the procedure employed in the collection of City sales tax by
the State Board of Equalization for the City of West Covina,and
the present status of said City sales tax;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of West
Covina requests that City Manager, Mr. George Aiassa, or -'his
designated assistant or employee, be authorized on behalf of this
City and this City Council to make such inquiries with the State
Board of Equalization in Sacramento as they deem necessary and
appropriate to satisfactorily comprehend the status of the City
sales tax collected by the State Board of Equalization and the
procedure employed to make such collections so that all steps
necessary are taken to assure this City of its fair return.
• SECTION 2. That said Mr. George Aiassa, or.his.desig-
nated assistant or employee, do and perform all acts necessary
or appropriate to the carrying out of the foregoing.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and shall provide three certified
copies of this Resolution to Mr. George Aiassa, or his designated
assistant or employee, to be presented to the State Board of
Equalization.

regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of April, 1966, by
