A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT
• NO. 196.
WHEREAS, on March 7, 1966, a Petition on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of West Covina was presented to the
City Council of the City of West Covina requesting the Council to give
its consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings in connection
with that certain inhabited territory therein referred to and generally
described, which is contiguous to the City of West Covina; and
WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning Com-
mission of the City of West Covina for investigation, report and
recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and
recommendation to the Council on the 28th day of March, 1966s favoring
the commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to give its
consent to the commencement of such annexation proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of West Covina:
1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the commence-
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited territory
• in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913.
2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby is
designated as Southerly Annexation District No. 1960 and is described
as follows:
That portion of lot 145 of E.J. Baldwin's Fourth Subdivision
in the County of Los Angeles,_State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 80 Page 186 of maps in the office of
the County Recorder of said county and that portion of lot
361, Tract 606 as per map recorded in Book 15, Pages 142 and
143 of maps, records of said county, described as follows:
Beginning at the :trltersection of the centerlines of Francisquito
Avenue and California Avenue as shown on said map of E.J.
Baldwin's Fourth Subdivision, thence northwesterly along the
centerline of Francisquito Avenue to the intersection with
the easterly boundary of the City of West Covina as same
existed on March 10, 1947, with the certification of southerly
Annexation No. 3 (Ordinance No. 1349 thence southwesterly
along said east boundary to the intersection with the
centerline of Fairgrove Avenue as shown on said Tract 606,
thence southeasterly along the centerline of Fairgrove
Avenue to the intersection with the centerline of California
Avenue as shown on said Tract 606, thence northeasterly along
the centerline of California Avenue to the point of beginning.

3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.

adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the llth day of April 1966
