RESOLUTION NO. 3336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 11 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 1277 TO PROVIDE FOR HOLIDAYS WHICH FALL ON
SATURDAY.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (d) of Section 11 of Resolution No.
1277 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(d) For those employees whose normal work week is
Monday through Friday, when a holiday falls on a Sunday,
the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday in lieu
of the day observed. For all other employees, when a holiday
falls on the second of two regularly scheduled days off, the
employee shall be entitled to an additional day off with pay
to be fixed by department head or City Manager in lieu of such
holiday and shall be deemed to be a holiday for such employee.
If a holiday falls on the first of two regularly scheduled
consecutive days off, or on a Saturday in the case of employees
whose normal work week is Monday through Friday, the employee
shall be entitled to an additional day of vacation with pay
to be used in the same year or next following year, but such
day shall not be considered a holiday."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
