A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA* REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TO PERMIT
THE USE OF CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX MONEY ALLOCATED AS
COUNTY AID TOWARDS THE IMPROVEMENT OF WORKMAN AVENUE
BY THE RECONSTRUCTION OF SAID STREET WITH ASPHALTIC
PAVEMENT ON AGGREGATE BASE, CONSTRUCTION OF R.C.P.
STORM DRAIN, CATCH BASINS, V.C..P. SEWER HOUSE
CONNECTIONS, ADJUST SEWER MANHOLES'r, EXCAVATIONS AND
REMOVALS.
WHEREAS, there remains unbudgeted gasoline tax money allocated as County
Aid towards the improvement of dedicated public streets and highways of
general county interest within the City of West Covina, and
WHEREAS, Workman Avenue is a part of the select street system of the
City of West Covina and connects directly to two (2) County Master Plan
Highways (Azusa Avenue and Lark Ellen Avenue), and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of West Covina that
a portion of the gasoline tax money in the amount of $15,000.00 should
be expended for said improvement of said Workman Avenue within the City
of West Covina.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors be and they are hereby
requested to authorize the use of $15,000.00 for said improve-
ments of said Workman Avenue in the City of West Covina.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of West Covina be
and is hereby at
and directed to forward a certified copy
of this Resolution to the County Road Commissioner of the
County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall
certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 28th day of February , 1966.

the City Council of the City of West Covina at a regular meeting held
on the 28th day of February , 1966, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen to wit:
