A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ALL RUBBISH
AND REFUSE UPON, AND ALL WEEDS AND BERRY BUSHES
GROWING UPON VARIOUS UNIMPROVED WASHES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DECLARING THE CITY'S INTEN-
TION TO REMOVE AND ABATE THE SAME UNDER AND IN
ACCORDANCE WITH PROVISIONS OF TITLE 4, DIVISION 3,
PART 2, CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE 2 OF THE GOVERNMENT
CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
It is hereby found, determined and declared3that rubbish
and refuse exist upon, and weeds which bear seeds of a wingy and/or
downy nature and berry bushes which attain such a large growth as to
become a fire menace when dry, and/or which are otherwise noxious and/
or dangerous, are growing upon various unimproved Washes and private
properties in the City of West Covina, California,
That pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, Chapter 13,
Part 2, Division 3, Title 4, of the California Government Code, such
rubbish and refuse existing at and such weeds and berry bushes growing
in or upon various unimproved Washes are determined and declared to be
a public nuisance which must be abated by the removal thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
instructed to mail a "Notice to Destroy Weeds and Berry Bushes and
•to Remove Rubbish and Refuse" substantially in the form specified in
Section 39566 of the Government Code, to all owners of said property
at the times and manner specified in said Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council will, at the
time of its regular meeting on March 14, 1966, at 8:00 P.M. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City, hear and consider all
objections to the proposed removal of weeds, berry bushes, rubbish
and refuse.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this Resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 14th day of
February , 1966.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of West Covina at a regular meeting thereof
held on February 14 1966, by the following vote of the Council,
to wit:
