A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DIRECTING THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT
TO GIVE NOTICE TO CONSTRUCT CURB, GUTTER, DRIVE-
WAY APPROACH AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT TO
SECTIONS 5870 ET SEQ. OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ON THE WEST SIDE
OF SUNSET AVENUE BETWEEN DELVALE STREET AND FRAN_-
CISQUITO AVENUE ALONG THE FRONT OF LOT 49 TRACT
NO. 12505 KNOWN AS 1779 SOUTH SUNSET AVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
•SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That curb, gutter, driveway approach, and street
improvements have been installed and constructed in and along 93/
of the total frontage on the west side of Sunset Avenue between the
intersection of Delvale Street and Francisquito Avenue in the City
of West Covina.
(b) That it is the duty of the owners of property
fronting on Sunset Avenue between Delvale Street and Francisquito
Avenue who have not constructed said improvements to construct and
install said improvements, to wit: Curb, gutter, driveway approach,
and street improvements pursuant to Section 5875 et seq, of the
• Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
(c) That the Street Superintendent has reported to the
City Council of the City of West Covina that said improvements as
specified in subparagraph (a) have been so constructed.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of
West Covina hereby is directed pursuant to Section 5876 of the said
Streets and Highways Code to notify the owners and/or persons in pos-
session of property fronting on the above -described street where the
improvements specified in said paragraph (a) in Section 1 have not
been constructed to construct or cause the same to be constructed in
accordance with said Sections 5870 et seq. of the Streets and High-
ways Code. Said notice shall be in the form and manner prescribed
in Sections 5877 and 5878 of the said Code.
SECTION 3. That at 8:00 P.M. on the 28th day of February,
1966, the City Council of the City of West Covina in the Council
Chambers of Laid City located at 1444 West Garvey Avenue, West Covina,
California, will hold a public hearing at which time and place it will
pass upon objections or protests, if any, which may be raised by any
property owner or other interested person to the work proposed to be
accomplished along the above -described street.
SECTION 4. That the construction of said curb, gutter,
driveway approach and street improvements, shall be in conformity with
is specifications No. SP 6624 adopted by the City Council of.the City of
West Covina on January 24, 1966.

SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
