RESOLUTION NO 2754 'I
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF;THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REQUESTING ANNEXATION TO THE
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
The City Council of the City of WestCovinadoes resolve
as follows.

SECTION 1. That this City Council does hereby undertake
proceedings to cause the territory of the City of West Covina to
be annexed to and become a part of the San Gabriel Valley Munici-
pal Water District.

SECTION 2, That this City Council does hereby request
the Board of Directors of.San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water
District to prescribe the terms and conditions of such annexa-
tion; provided, however, that, among others, such terms shall
include:
a); a redistricting of the five divisions of
San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District„so as to include one
director from each•of the five"ci-ties that will then make up
the San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District;
b) an annexation charge of not to exceed
an amount equal to the San Gabriel Valley -Municipal Water Dist-
rict 1963-64'2¢ tax rate as applied to the "assessed valuation
of West.Covina prorated to date of annexation.
.SECTION 3. That this City Council does hereby pledge
its support in the preparation, circulation and filing of a
proper annexation petition, the completion of the requisite
annexation procedures, and the'endorsementl,of such annexation
at the election therefor.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
