Resolution - 2711RESOLUTION'NO, .. 2711 ---- A RESOLUTION OF THE -CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA,,PROVIDING.FOR THE �. PURCHASE.OF REAL ESTATE FOR -MUNICIPAL PURPOSES,, - FOR THE EXECUTION -.OF NECESSARY AGREEMENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH AND,ACCEPTING GRANT DEED " COVERING SAID REAL PROP.EATY The City Council of.the City.ofrWest Covina does resolve. as follows WHEREAS, in the opinion. of this Council, due to .the rapid growth and development of the.City of West Covina, there exists an urgent need for an'adequate•site for general municipal purposes and oprations, to=wit: addition to Del Norte Park; and WHEREAS', the City Council upon proper investigation and study'of the problems involved has concluded that an available site immediately adjacent to the existing park in the City of. West Covina meets the requirements of and is appropriate to the needs of the City of West Covina for said municipal purposes; and WHEREAS,.the City Council hag made a thorough'investiga- tion of the suitability and the cost of the real property proposed to be purchased hereby and is satisfied that the location is' appropriate and the purchase price of $7,500.00'is fair and reasonable therefor.;; • ` NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1. That upon the furbishing to .the City of West Covina of appropriate evidence' of the ability of the vendors 'to grant to the City a clear and marketable title to said real ,-property throughescrow, the City Manager and the City Clerk of the City of'West Covina be and they are hereby, authorized and directed to enter into and execute in the name of'and on behalf of the -said City an agreement between.William B. Hinrichs and Alfretta L. Hinrickjs� husband.and-wife, as joint,tentants, and John S. Turner and Gwendolyn J. Turner, husband and wife; as joint tenants, as vendors of the aforementioned real property, and the City of West Covina; a municipal corporation, as purchaser thereof; relating to the purchase=and use of,said property for municipal or,public purposes as -aforesaid, and that the City of West Covina accept from -said Wiil'am B. Hinrichs and Alfretta L. HinrickFj husband and wife, as joint tenants,- and John S. Turner and Gwendolyn J. Turner, husband and wife, as.joint.tenants, a proper deed conveying to the City .of West- Covina the aforesaid real property situated in"the City;,ofl.West Covina anddescribed more particularly as ' (William B: Hinrichs and,Alfretta"L. Hinrichs) That portion'of Rancho•La:Puente, in the City of -West, Covina, County of Los-,Angeles,,State of Cali- ..fornia;:as per map recorded in Book l page 43 of Patents, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as.follows Beginning at the northwest corner of the land con- veyed to D. C. Mensing, by deed recorded in book 36, page 169 of Deeds, Records of said County; thence South 5°14'55",West 713.413 feet'along the westerly ` line:of said land conveyed to D. C.
