A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA COMMENDING SAMUEL B. SORNBORGER
FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
WHEREAS, SAMUEL B. SORNBORGER was appointed to the
City of West Covina Personnel Board on March 3,,1958; and
WHEREAS, through his tenure of five years in office,
the City of West Covina has grown in population and by the
number of City employees which has required the application of
modern personnel techniques and conscious effort on his part;
and
WHEREAS, SAMUEL B. SORNBORGER, through his years of
continuing sincere effort and devotion of time and talent
toward solving the problems.of West Covina employees, has
developed high moral and sound personnel policies for the City;
•NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby resolver
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby commends
SAMUEL B..SORNBORGER for the outstanding service he has
rendered to the City of West Covina, and expresses to him their
thanks and appreciation on behalf of the citizens and employees
of this City for the results of his.efforts.
SECTION 2, That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and shall transmit a certified copy
thereof to SAMUEL B. SORNBORGER.
Approved and adopted this 22nd day of July, 1963.
I hereby certify that the foregoing xesoiuiion waa
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of July, 1963,
by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen Towner, Jett, Heath, Snyder, Mayor Barnes
