RESOLUTION NO. 2675
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING.A TIME.AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS.IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
REFERRED TO, IN.RESOLUTION.OF INTENTION NO. 2674, AND
DIRECTING THE CLERK,OF SAID.CITY COUNCIL TO GIVE NOTICE
OF SAID HEARING.
_(STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 62-1)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California,
did, in Resolution No. 2659, adopted June 24, 1963, pursuant to the provisions
of the Street Lighting Act of 1919 of.the State of California (Part 1 of
Division 14 of -the Streets and Highways Code of said State), as amended, and
particularly as contemplated under the alternative procedure for installment
assessments provided for in Chapter 8 of said Street Lighting'Act of 1919,
require the City Engineer of said City to make and file with the Clerk of said
Council a report in writing presenting certain matters relating to a proposed
lighting installation, maintenance and service district in said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said City
Council as expressed in said Resolution No. 2659 and of said law, did make and
on the 8th day of July , 1963, file in the office of the City Clerk
(who is ex-officio Clerk of the City Council) of said City his report in writing
responsive to the requirements of the said resolution and of said law relating
to the proposed lighting installation, maintenance and service district in said
City; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has proceeded to carefully examine,
inspect, and consider the said report, and is satisfied with said report and
with each and all of the various items thereof and the matters therein set forth;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council did in Resolution No. 2673 approve said
report on.the 8th day of July , 1963, in conformity with the provisions of
said Street Lighting Act of.1919; and
WHEREAS, after the approval of said report, and in conformity with the
provisions of said Street Lighting Act, of 1919, said City Council did duly
and regularly adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 2674 and entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA
.DECLARING.ITS INTENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN LIGHTING STANDARDS, FIXTURES_
AND.APPLIANCES.ON CERTAIN STREETS AND PUBLIC_PLACES.IN,THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA,.TO BE INSTALLED, MAINTAINED _AND_ELECTRIC CURRENT TO.BE FURNISHED
FOR.LIGHTING SAID. FIXTURES FOR A PERIOD.OF.MONTHS ENDING,JUNE.30, 1966,
FOR STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 62-1."
and
WHEREAS, it now becomes the duty of said Council to appoint a time and
place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed improvement referred to
in said Resolution of Intention and to direct the giving of notice of said hearing:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES HEREBY,
RESOLVE, DECLARE,_DETERMINE AND ORDER -AS FOLLOWS:

Daylight Saving Time) of said day,
be and the same
is hereby
appointed as.the
time and the Council Chamber
in the City Hall
of said City of
West Covina,
California, is hereby appointed as
the place for
hearing protests in
reference to
the said proposed improvement.

That the City Clerk is hereby authorized, designated and directed to
,give notice of said hearing in time, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 3.
That the West Covina.Tribune, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated generally within the said City of West Covina, California,
is hereby designated as the newspaper in which such notice shall be published.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the,passage and adoption of this
resolution; shall enter the same among the original resolutions of the City
Council of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof
in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
