A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ,AND ORDERING
THE, FILING OF THE -REPORT OF THE.CITY ENGINEER OF
SAID -CITY, MADE.PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 2659_
DATED JUNE 24, 1963, FOR THE INSTALLATION OF AND
THE FURNISHING OF ELECTRIC.CURRENT_AND.FOR THE
MAINTENANCE,OF CERTAIN.LIGHTING FIXTURES AND.
APPLIANCES IN-STREET.LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 62-1.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Street Lighting Act of 1919 of .
the State of California (Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code
of said State), as amended, the City Council of the City of West Covina did, on
June 24, 1963, adopt Resolution No. 2659, requiring the City Engineer to make
and file with the City Council a report in writing presenting certain matters
relating to a proposed lighting installation, maintenance and service district
in said City; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said City
Council as expressed in said resolution, did make and on the 8th day of July,
1963, file in the office of the City Clerk (who is ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council) of said City, his report in writing presenting certain matters
relating to the installation, maintenance and service district for Street
Lighting Assessment District No. 62-1; and
WHEREAS, proceedings for the lighting installation, maintenance and service
district are to be taken pursuant to the provisions of the Street Lighting Act
• of 1919, Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code, as amended,
and particularly as.,contemplated under the provisions of Section 18014 of said
• law and under the alternative procedure for installment assessments provided for
in Chapter 8 of said street Lighting, Act of 1919; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has carefully examined and inspected the report
of the.City Engineer, and is satisfied with each and all of the items set forth
in said report;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY.RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:.
SECTION 1.
That the report of the City Engineer of the City of West Covina, dated
July 8 , 1963, be and the same is hereby approved.and is hereby ordered filed
with the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION 2.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution, shall cause the original of the same to be entered among- the
original resolutions of the City Council of said City, and shall make a minute
of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the
City Council in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
