A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 1dEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, OFFERING CONGRATULATIONS . TO THE NEid CITY OF
LA PUENTE, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOI'TS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council on behalf of the
citizens of West Covina hereby tenders to its new neighbor,
the City of La Puente, congratulations upon its recent incorporation
and extends to the members of the City Council of La Puente a
sincere wish that the City of La Puente may have a healthy,
substantial growth in the future.
In extending to the City of La Puente the hand of
friendship the City Council of the City of West Covina wishes to
express its determination to cooperate with the City of La Puente
in the mutual problems affecting both cities to the end that the
development of the East San Gabriel Valley on a sound, orderly
basis may be accomplished and assured.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
• adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
West Covina, held on the 13th day of August, 195f by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
