A RESOLUTION -OF THE CITY COUNCIL 01" THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS FOR A. CERTAIN TRAFFIC INTERCHANGE
AND OVERPASS AT THE INTERSECTION OF BARRANCA STREET WITH THE
SAN BERNARDINO FREEWAY IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01' WEST COVINA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, That the plan for the development of an overpass
and traffic interchange at the intersection of Barranca Street and
the San Bernardino Freeway in the City of West Covina, a copy of
which plan is hereto attached and by this reference incorporated
herein, be and the same is hereby adopted and approved; that such
overcrossing will be constructed by the State of California
(Division of Highways) and will include straightening the existing
Barranca Street north of the freeway and the State of California
will assume responsibility for the various aspects of the revision
of construction originally proposed at this intersection? including
the bridge construction, removal of temporary ramps and connections,
acquisition of right-of-way necessary in connection with the require-
ments of the State Division of Highways together with the construction
of.permanent ramps and connector facilities in the northeast quadrant.
• In the northwest quadrant the State of California shall deed to the
City of Wrest Covina all right-of-way presently vested in the State
and necessary for use in the establishment of a connector road,
which facility is proposed to be established between the property
lying west of the existing Barranca Street and Barranca ,Street as
re -aligned, provided, however, that the City hereby undertakes and
agrees with the State of California to assume all responsibility

for the future disposition of that portion of the existing
Barranca Street which will not be used in connection with this
overcrossing development and further to undertake the solution
of any and all problems arising from the vacation or abandonment
of any portion of said Barranca Street and to acquire any and all
privately -owned rights of way necessary for use in the establish-
ment of the above -mentioned connector road.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I 11EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeIting of the City Council of the City of West Covina,
held on the i 0 day of 19569 by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen9 to wit:
