A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
TO PERMIT THE USE OF CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX MONEY ALLOCATED AS COUNTY AID
TOWARDS THE IMPROVEMENT OF FRANCISQUITO AVENUE FROM CALIFORNIA AVENUE
TO 958 FEET NORTHWESTERLY THEREFROM, BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALTIC
PAVEMENT ON AGGREGATE BASE.AND APPURTENANT WORK..
WHEREAS, there remains unbudgeted gasoline tax money allo-
cated as County Aid towards the improvement of dedicated public streets
• and highways of general County interest within the City of West Covina;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covinahas
declared said Francisquito Avenue as part of the County system, Highways
of Los Angeles County, as provided in Sections 700-712 inclusive of
Streets and Highways Code of State of California; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has consented to the preparation
of plans for and the improvement of said Avenue by the City of West
Covina or their representatives for the construction to grade of asphal-
tic pavement on aggregate base and appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of West Covina that
a portion of the gasoline tax money in the amount of Three Thousand
Dollars ($3,000.00) should be expended for said improvement of said
Francisquito Avenue within the City of West Covina:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Board of Supervisors be and they are
hereby requested to authorize the use of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00)
for said improvement of said Francisquito Avenue in the City of West
Covina.

Section 2m That the City Cleric of the City of West
Covina be and is hereby ordered and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the County Road Commissioner
of the County of Los Angeles®
Section 3® That the City Cleric shall certify to -the
adoption of this Resolution®
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of West Covina, held on the 21st day of May, 1956, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
