RESOLUTION NO.924
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, STATING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION
RETURNS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL 10 9.1956.
'WHEREAS 9 the City Council of the City of West Covina
by Resolution No.667 provided for the holding of a general
municipal election in said City on April 10, 19562 for the purposes
stated in said Resolution; and
-1,41EREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
given in time, form and manner as provided by law, and said election
was on the said date duly held at the polling places designated in
said Resolution, and the votes cast thereat were canvassed and the
returns thereof made at the time and in the manner and form provided
by lace; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April, 1956, at the hour of
7:00 o'clock P.M., said City Council assembled at its usual place
of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina,
California, DOES HERESY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the general, municipal election was duly
held on April 10, 1956, and the votes cast thereat were duly and
regularly canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and in
the form and manner required by law.
SECTION 2. That all absent voter ballots issued had been
received or returned and accounted for by April 17, 1956, and on
that date were duly counted and canvassed, and the result of such
count is hereinafter stated. That this City Council has duly
canvassed the returns of said election and from said returns it
appears,and this City Council finds, that the total number of votes
cast in each of the respective election precincts established for
said electiongthe whole number of votes cast in said election,the
names of the persons voted for, the office for which each person was
voted,the number of votes cast in each precinct for each of said
persons,and for and against the proposition in said Resolution set
forth,the total number of votes cast in said election for each of said
persons.,the term for which each of said persons was elected and the
• total number of votes cash in said City upon said proposition are as
hereinafter specified and enumerated.
SECTION 3. That each of the persons hereinafter named re-
ceived the following votes for the respective office for which he
was a candidate:

said election were cast in opposition to the adoption of said
proposition and said proposition is hereby declared to be lost.
SECTION 5. That the total votes cast at said election

SECTION 7® The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
the Council a statement of the results of said election, showing
the votes cast for and against 1ha adoption of the aforementioned
proposition, and the whole number of votes cast in said election;
the names of the persons voted for; the office for which each
person was voted; the number of votes cast in each precinct for
said proposition and for each of said persons, and the total number
of votes cast in said election for said proposition and of said
persons, as well as the term for which each of said persons was
elected.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City of West Covina,
held on the 17th day of April, 1966, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:
