A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING.THE.EXCHANGE AND TRANSFER
OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES HEREBY ORDER,
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE.AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, there is currently being planned
and developed in the City of West Covina an administrative center
to contain certain public buildings including a County court house
• and city hall, the developments being carried out jointly by the
County of Los Angeles and the City of West Covina upon lands here-
tofore acquired and now owned by each such political subdivision;and
WHEREAS, for the proper development of such center it is
necessary that the County and City exchange portions of the property
held by each of them for this purpose
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of West Covina be and they are hereby authorized
to execute on behalf of the City and to deliver to the County of
Los Angeles a grant.deed or other appropriate documents conveying
to the County of Los Angeles a portion of the premises now owned
and held by the City and described as follows:
That portion of Lot 133, E.J.Baldwin"s 4th Subdivision,
in the City of West Covina,County of Los Angeles,State of
California, as shown on map .recorded in Book 89page 186 of
Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los
Angeles, within the following described boundaries:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of that certain
parcel of land described in deed to County of Los Angeles,
recorded as Document No.2469, on February 16,1955, in Book
469309page 317, of Official Records, in the office of said
Recorder; thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line
of said certain parcel of land to the northeasterly line of
the southwesterly 431 feet of said lot; thence northwesterly

along said northeasterly line to a line parallel with
89.77 feet northwesterly, measured along the south-
westerly line of said lot; thence southwesterly along
said parallel line to.said southwesterly line; thence
southeasterly along said southwesterly line 89.77 feet
to said point of beginning.
in consideration of the conveyance by the County of Los Angeles
to the City of West Covina of a portion of said premises now owned
by said County, described as follows:
That portion of Lot 133,'E.J.Baldwints 4th Subdivision,
in the City of West Covina, County. of Los.Angeles, State
.of California, as shown on map recorded in Book 8,page 186
of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles., within the following described boundaries:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of that certain
parcel of land described in deed to County of Los Angeles,
recorded as :Document No.2469, on February 1691955, in
Book 469309 page 31,79 of Official Records, in the office
of said Recorder; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly
line of said certain parcel of land 573.83 feet to the
700 foot radius curve in the northwesterly line of that
certain parcel of land originally described in Certificate
of Title No.3AA-124836 recorded in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence southwesterly
along said 700 foot radius curve to the northeasterly line
of the southwesterly 431 feet of said lot; thence north-
westerly along said last mentioned northeasterly line to
the northwesterly line of first above mentioned certain
parcel of land; thence northeasterly along said northwesterly
line 60.00 feet to the point of beginning.
the City Council hereby determining that such exchange of properties
is necessary to properly develop the administrative center in said
City and that the portions of real property hereinabove described
are. of equal value.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of 'West Covina, held on the 16th day of April, 1956,
by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
