A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST.COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING.FOR THE PURCHASE OF.REAL.ESTATE FOR
MUNICIPAL PURPOSES; FOR THE EXECUTION OF. NECESSARY AGREEMENT
IN CONNECTION THEREWITH AND ACCEPTING GRANT DEED COVERING
SAID REAL -PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES DETERMINE,
ORDER AND RESOLVE AS.FOLLOWS:,
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, in the opinion --of this Council there
exists an urgent need for an adequate site for general municipal
• purposes, to wit: for the necessary extension of Cameron Avenue
between Sunset and Orange Avenues, a public street in said City;
and -
WHEREAS, the City Council upon proper investigation and
study of the problems- involved, has -,concluded and -found that an
available site of approximately two-thirds (2/3) acres meets the
requirements of and is appropriate to the needs of the City of
West Covina for --said street and highway purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has made a, -thorough investigation
of the suitability and the cost of the real property proposed to
be purchases hereby and is satisfied and hereby specifically finds
that the location is -appropriate and -'the purchase -price of $49250.00
• is fair- a-nd reasonable- therefor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that upon -the furnishing to
the City- of `West Covina -of -appropriate evidence -of the -ability of
the vendors to grant to the City a clear and marketable title to
said real property through escrow, the Mayor -and the City Clerk of
the City of�West Covina be and they are hereby -authorized and
directed to enter into and execute in the name of and on behalf of

the said City an,agreement between Joe L.Reyes and Concha M.
Reyes, husband and wife, as vendors of the -aforementioned real
property, and --the City of West Covina, -a municipal corporation,
as purchaser -thereof, relating -to the purchase and use of said
property for municipal or public purposes, as aforesaid, and
that the City of West Covina accept from said Joe L.Reyes and
• Concha M.Reyes proper deed conveying to the City of West Covina
the aforesaid real property situated in the City of West Covina
and described more particularly as:
That portion of `Lot 131 of E.J.Baldwin's 4th
Subdivision in - the City of West.Covina, as per
map recorded in,,Book 8 Page`186 of Maps, in
the office of the County_ Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot'
131; thence North:480-08# West 351.31 feet along
the Northeasterly' -line of said lot to a point on
the Northeasterly'prolongation of the Northwesterly
line of the land described in Certificate of'Title
No,BK-22245 on -file in the office of the Registrar
of�Land Titles of said, -county; thence along said
prolongation South 760 42!, West 91.35 feet more-orless to a line parallel with the Northeasterly`
line of said Lot 131 and which passes through a
pointin the Southeasterly line of said Lot distant.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of -West Covina
