THAT V'EEREAS there has been presented to the City cl
Council of the City of `!Vest Covina a petition signed by the owners
of more than one/fourth of the -area of land in the territory
described in said petition requesting the City Council of the City
of West Covina to annex the territory therein described to the
City of Nest Covina,
That the petition states that said territory is unin-
habited and that the ot.9mers of the entire territory sought to be
annexed have signed said petition,
Said uninhabited territory and the boundaries thereof are
-more particularly described as follows:
Lot 288 of E. J. Baldwin?s 5th Subdivision of Rancho
La Puente, all as shown on map recorded in Book 12,
at pages.134 and 135 in the office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County, California.
That said territory is bounded on the East by Lark Ellen Ave., on
the West by the Westerly boundary of said Lot 288, on the North
by the Northerlyboundary of said Lot 288 and.on the South by the
Northerly boundary of Lot 299 of E. J. Baldwin's :5th Subdivision
of Rancho La Puente all as shown on map recorded in Book 12 at
pages 134 and 135 in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California.
_IP Said territory shall be designated "Southerly Addition
No. 1".
That said petition f br annexation be set for hearing before
the City Council at the City Hall, 361 West Garvey Blvd., Nest Covina,
California, on April 24, 1946, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.., and that any
person owning any real property within such territory so proposed to
be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may
appear before the City Council of West Covina and show cause why
NOTICE OF HEARING PETITION TO ANNEX UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF !ATST COVINA.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the petition of Albert L. Wood
and L. Maude Wood and William McIntyre and Niva E. McIntyre to
annex the hereinafter uninhabited territory to the City of West
Covina is set for hearing before the City Council of the City of
West Covina on April 24, 1946 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the City
Hall 361 West Gart;ey Bldv. , t1lest Covina, California.
Any property holder within the territory proposed to be
annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation.
The uninhabited territory proposed to be annexed to the
City of West Covina is described as follows:

Be it further resolved that the City Clerk shall post
notice of said hearing at three public places in the City of 'Nest
Covina in accordance with the provisions of the City Ordinance; said
notice to be posted not less than 10 days before the date herein
set for hearing said petition.
