A RESOLUTION _CALLING A MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD APRIL 11_ _1944_
At the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
West Covina held February 9, 1944, the following resolution
was -offered by Councilman Kendall, seconded by Councilman
Daniels, and was unanimously adopted.
RESOLVED, that a municipal election be held on April 11, 19442.
for the purpose of electing.four members for the City Council,
three for long terms and one for a7 short term, a City Clerk and
a City Treasurer: That the location of the polling place and the
names of the election officers and the compensation provided them,
be and the same are hereby fixed as follows:
Polling place ----------.-- -City Hall, 361 W. Garvey Blvd.
Election Officers;
Inspector (1)--------------Ralph Lang
Judge (1)----------------Mrs Elizabeth Johns
Clerks (2)---------------Mrs. Iris Smith
Mrs. Frankie V. Doyle ✓
That all of said election officers be paid the sum of
$10.00 per day, as full compensation for their services
in conducting said election.
That the polls shall be opened at 6 otclock A.M. of said
day and be kept open until 6 o1clock P.M. thereof, when
the polls shall be closed.
That the City Clerk post this election notice in at least
three public places in the City of West Covina.
