A RESOLUTION CALLING A MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD APRIL 9, 1940
At the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
West Covina held February 14, 19400 the following resolution
was offered by Councilman Reeg, seconded by Councilman Robinson
and unanimously adopted.
RESOLVED, that a municipal election be held on April 9, 1940,
— for the purpose of electing three members for the City Council for
long terms, a City Clerk and A City Treasurer: That the location
of the polling places and the names of the election officers and
compensatioh provided them, be and the same are hereby fixed as
follows:
Polling Place ---------------------- West Covina Club House
Election Officers ------------------
Inspector (1)---------------- J.R. Smale
Judge (1)--------------- Mrs.Georgia Wolfinger
Clerks (2)--------------- Mrs. Max Goheen
. Mrs. Ernie Schmitt
That all of said election officers, be paid the sum of
$5.00 per day, as full compensation for their services
in conducting said election.
That the polls shall be opened at 6 o'clock A.M. of said
day and be kept open until 6 o'clock P.M. thereof, when
the polls shall be closed.
That the City Clerk post this election notice in at least
three public places in the City of West Covina.
