.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA APPROVING
MWORANDUM OF AGREnDaIT FOR ACCUMULATION OF
1/4 CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREET-5 OF1WOR IMPORTANCE
WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has-been presented
to be entered Into with,the 5tate, of Qalifornla for adeu-
mulation of the 1/4 cent gas tax for the fiscal year 1940
allocat-ed for streets of major importance other than State
highways in the City of West Covina; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said agree-
ment In full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of West Covina, that,. under the provisions of Section
200 of the Streets and Highways Code, the 1/4 cent gas
tax allocated for atreets of -major importance other than
State highways be accumulated for future expenditure, and
that said agreement be and the:b6me is hereby approved,
and the Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the
seine on behalf of said City, .said agreement to be binding
upon the City upon Its execution by the authorized offi-
cials of the State.
