AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 1638
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1984, the City Council adopted Ordinance No.
• 1638, declaring a moratorium on any further review and approval of
development plans on those parcels presently designated Service Commercial
(S-C) within the Eastland Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, on July 23, 1984, the City Council issued a written report
describing the measures taken to alleviate the condition which led to the
adoption of Ordinance No. 1638; and
WHEREAS, implementation of the recommendations contained in the
written report would eliminate the threat to public health, safety or
welfare and the need for Ordinance No. 1638 to remain in effect.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. Implementation of the recommendations contained in the
written report issued by the City Council does alleviate the conditions
which led to the adoption of Ordinance No. 1638.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1638 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after its
adoption.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by
• law.
