AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA ADDING SECTION
22-175 TO THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1: That the West Covina Municipal Code Section
22-175 be added to read:
a. Whenever authorized signs prohibiting or restrict-
ing parking or standing of vehicles on certain
streets or portion thereof between the hours of
2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. have been determined by the
Traffic Committee to be necessary for the welfare
of the general public and set for the area desig-
nated specifically herein, and are in place giving
notice thereof, it shall be unlawful for'any person
to stand or park any vehicle at any time during the
hours indicated by such signs.
b. Notwithstanding, subdivision (a) of this Section,
a resident adjacent to a street with restricted or
prohibited parking may be issued a permit for park-
ing a vehicle on such streets in accordance with
• Section 22507.5 of the California Vehicle Code and
the following requirements:
The Police Chief or his designee may issue a permit to a
resident providing the following conditions are met:
1. Insufficient on -site parking exists on the
property of the applicant as determined by
the Traffic Committee.

2. The application is limited to two permits
per dwelling unit.
3. Pay a permit fee as established from time to
time by resolution of the City Council.
4. Permits are renewable on a calendar year
basis.
5. The permit is registered to a specific address
and may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.
C. The following streets or portions thereof are herein
designated as street with parking restrictions be-
tween 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. and for which parking
permits may be issued. (None at this time)
SECTION 2: That the West Covina Municipal Code Section
1-37.1 Violation, infraction be amended to include Section 22-175
in the subparaqraph labeled Chapter 22 - Traffic Regulations.
