AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA AMENDING SECTION 1-37.1 OF THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATIVE TO INFRACTIONS AND ADDING
SECTION 1-37.2 RELATING TO THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE BY CITY EMPLOYEES.
• The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION NO. 1: The West Covina Municipal Code Chapter I,
Section 37.1 Violation; Infraction, is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following sections by chapters of the West Covina
Code:
Chapter 5 - Amusements:
Section 5-38.
Chapter T - Building and Building Regulations:
Section 7-149.

Chapter 14 - Licenses and Business Regulations:
Section 14-131.
Chapter 15 - Miscellaneous Provisions Relating to Public Health
and Safety:
Sections 15-2, 15-12(b), 15-109(a)(b).
• Chapter 26 - Zoning:
Sections 26-611(a)(d).
These sections by chapter will be added to Section 1-37.1 in chrono-
logical order.
SECTION 2: The West Covina Municipal Code Chapter I,
General Provisions, is hereby amended to add a new Section 1-37.2,
said section to read as follows:
"l-37.2 Authority of Authorized City.Employees to Issue Citations.
a. The Special Services Officer, Assistant Special Services
Officer and Business License Inspector shall have the
authority to issue citations for misdemeanors and infrac-
tions as enumerated herein.:

Chapter 15 - Miscellaneous Provisions Relating to Public Health
and Safety:
Sections 15-2, 15-12(a)(b), 15-14(a)(1)(3)(4), 15-15, 15-16(a),
15-109(a)(b).
Chapter 19 - Streets, Sidewalks and Public Places:
Sections 19-7, 19-8(a), 19-11(a).
Chapter 22 - Traffic Regulations:
Sections 22-8(a)(b), 22-63
Chapter 24 - Vegetation:
Sections 24-19, 24-25(a)(b), 24-26(a)(b).
Chapter 26 - Zoning:
Sections 26-28, 26-300, 26-301(a)(b)(c), 26-303(a)(b), 26-304,
• 26-322, 26-339(a)(b)(c)(d), 26-340(a), 26-342(a)(b)(c), 26-344
(a), 26-391(c), (e)(1)(2)(4)(5), (h), (j)(1)(2), 26-412(a)(b)
(c), 26-438, 26-568(b), 26-581(g)(j), 26-597, 26-604(a)(c),
26-609(b) (c)(d)(e), 26-611(a)(d), 26-672(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)

SECTION 3: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase, part or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdic-
tions, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this Ordinance. The City Council declares that it would
have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence,
clause, phrase, part or portion thereof, irrespective of -the fact
that any one or more sections, subsections, clauses, phrases, parts
or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4: The Mayor shall sign and City Clerk shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall
cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 28th day of November , 1983.
