Ordinance - 1603ORDINANCE NO. 1603 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, CLARIFYING ORDINANCE NO. 1574 BY AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER 26, SECTION 26-391(h) AND SECTION 26-438 AS THEY RELATE TO THE PARKING OR STORING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN RESI- DENTIAL ZONES. The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows. SECTION NO. 1: Chapter 26, Article VIII, Division 1, Section 26-391(h) of the West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 26-391(h): (h) Parking or storing of commercial vehicles is prohibited. It shall be unlawful to park or store any commercial vehicles, trailers or other related equipment on property which is zoned for residential use. The provision of this subparagraph (h) shall not apply to commercial automobiles, pickups, panel delivery trucks and station wagons. SECTION NO. 2: Chapter 26, Article IX, Division 2, Section 26-438 of the West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 26-4381. Same Parkinq or Storinq of Commercial Vehicles • (a) It shall be unlawful to park or store any commercial vehicles, trailers or other related equipment on property which is zoned for residential use. (b) The provisions of this Section shall not apply to commercial automobiles, pickups, panel delivery trucks and station wagons. SECTION NO. 3: The City Council finds and determines that said Amendment to the Municipal Code is a minor modification to the City's Zoning Ordinance and is, therefore, categorically exempt (Class 5) from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA). SECTION NO. 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law. ATTEST: PASSED and APPROVED this 22nd dayof August 1983.
