AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
ADDING SECTION 14.56.1 TO THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE TO
EXEMPT THE FILMING OF MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION PRODUCT-
ION FROM BUSINESS LICENSE REQUIREMENTS.
THE CITY Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows:
• SECTION 1. Section 14.56.1 is hereby added to Chapter 14, Article II,
Division 2 of the West Covina Municipal Code to read as follows:
Section 14.56.1 Filminq of motion picture and television productions.
Any person who has a valid and unrevoked permit from the Chief of
Police for the filming or videotaping of motion picture and tele-
vision productions pursuant to Chapter 15, Article VIII of the West
Covina Muncipal Code, is exempt from the payment of any tax imposed
by Article II and Article III of this Chapter.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by
law.
