AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE
• CHAPTER 22 BY REVISING SECTION 22-184(a) RELATIVE
TO THE PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The West Covina Municipal Code, Chapter 22, is
hereby amended by revising subsection (a) of .Section 22-184 entitled
"Parking of commercial vehicles regulated" to read as follows:
(a) No operator of any commercial vehicle having
a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000
pounds or more shall stop, stand, park or leave standing
such vehicle in any of the following places:
(1) On any City street, or portion thereof, in
any residential district.
(2) On any City street, or portion thereof, in
a non-residential district, where signs are in place
giving notice that parking is prohibited.
(3) On a City street, or portion thereof, in
• anon -residential district, where signs are in place
giving notice that parking is restricted, in violation
of the posted restrictions.
SECTION 2. If any subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, part
or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this Ordinance. The
City Council declares that it would have adopted each subsection,
sentence, clause,�part or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact
that any one or more subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases,
parts or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. The Mayor shall sign and City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the
same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
