ORDINANCE NO. 1539
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING SECTION 20-53 OF THE
WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SUBDIVISIONS.
WHEREAS, the State of California has revised Section 66452.6
of the Government Code specifying the time in which an approved
or conditionally approved tentative map shall expire; and
WHEREAS, the time specified in the revised Section-66452.E
of the State Government Code is in conflict with the time speci-
fied in Section 20-53 of the City's Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City does not desire to provide any additional
period of time beyond that time specified in Section 66452.6 of
the State Government Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 20-53 of the West Covina Municipal Code
is repealed.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as
required by law.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall send a certified copy of
this ordinance to the Los Angeles County Engineer.
