ORDINANCE NO. 1498
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEE TO BE CHARGED FOR RETURNED CHECKS.
WHEREAS, the number of returned checks has increased; and
WHEREAS, the costs incurred in handling these items are not reimbursed;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. A fee for returned checks, the amount of which is to be es-
tablished by resolution, is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
