ORDINANCE NO. 1434
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
CHAPTER 26, ARTICLE X, DIVISION 3, SECTION
26-577 RELATING.TO REAR SETBACKS ABUTTING
PUBLIC STREETS IN COMMERCIAL ZONES.
(Amendment No. 165)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 26-577 (Minimum Setbacks) of
the West Covina Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:

*PP: No yards required.except such as may be incorporated in a
precise pan, unclassified use permit, or variance.
When the .rear of a site zoned O-P, N-C, C-C, R-C or S-C abuts a public
street, at the discretion of the Planning Commission, the minimum rear
setback may be reduced to 5 feet, providing that such a reduction will
result in an improved design of the development.
SECTION 2: The City Council finds and determines that
said amendment to the Municipal Code is a minor modification to
the City's Zoning Ordinance and is, therefore, categorically ex-
empt (Class 5) from the requirements of the California Environ-
mental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA).
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.
