ORDINANCE NO. 1473
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY IOF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODY BY AMENDING
CHAPTER 26, ARTICLE XIII, DIVISION 2,
SECTION 26-704 and 26-705 RELATING TO
ROOFS IN THE HILLSIDE OVERLAY ZONE.
(Amendment No. 162)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 26-704 of the West Covina
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Paragraph (f) to
read as follows:
(f) Roofing shall be of a noncombustible material
as defined in the most current edition of the
Uniform Building Code unless appealed to and
waived by a committee consisting of the Plan-
ning Director, Building and Safety Director
and the Fire Chief, or their respective deputies
or assistants when so authorized. An appeal of
the committee's decision to the Planning Commis-

together with a $30 appeal fee..
SECTION 2: Section 26-705 of the West Covina
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Paragraph (c) to
read as follows:

SECTION 3: The City Council finds and determines that
said amendment to the Municipal Code is a minor modification to
the City's Zoning Ordinance and is, therefore,.categorically ex-
empt (Class 5) from the requirements of the California Environ-
mental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA).
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.
