AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
• THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SECTION 10807.08.(h) TO PART
VIII, CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE X RELATING TO
YARDS AROUND BUILDINGS (Amendment No. 152)
The City Council of the'City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section%10807.08(h) is hereby added to the West
Covina Municipal Code and will read as follows:
(h) At the .time of Precise Plan review as per
Section 10502. the Planning`Commission°may modify
the required yards around buildings as set forth
in this section providing the following criteria
have been met.
i. The amount of site area involved shall
be.relocated within the Recreational/
Leisure space.areas.as set forth in
Section 10807.13.
ii. The end result shall be an improved
overall project design other_ than would
occur if the modification were not granted.
• iii.-The maximum permitted ground coverage
set forth in Section 10807.09 shall not
'be exceeded.
SECTION 2: The City Council finds and determines that said
amendment to the Municipal Code is a minor modification to the
City's Zoning Ordinance and is, therefore, categorically exempt
(Class 5) from the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA).
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
