AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA AMENDING SECTION 4201 (1) OF THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO UNLAWFUL ACTS IN PUBLIC
PARKS AND PUBLIC PLACES
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4201 (1) of the West Covina Municipal
.Code is hereby amended to read that the following are unlawful acts
in public parks and public places:
4201 (l.a) To solicit in any manner within public parks,
or sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, or merchandise, or pass
out and distribute, post, place, or erect any handbill, circular, ad-
vertising matter or literature used for or promoting any commercial
purpose, without permission granted by the Director of Recreation and
Parks.
4201 (l.b) To solicit in any manner within the West Covina
Civic Center, or sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, or merchan-
dise,.or pass out and distribute, post, place, or erect any handbill,
circular, advertising matter or literature used for or promoting any
commercial purpose, without permission granted by the City Council.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately'
upon its passage and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
