ORDINANCE NO. 1418
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE WEST
COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION
10101.55 TO PART I, CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE X,
RELATING TO DANCING ON PROPERTY ZONED FOR
NON-RESIDENTIAL USES. (Amendment No. 149)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 10101.55 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"10101.55 DANCE OR DANCING SCHOOLS
The teaching of dancing in any room or building
where food is not served as a normal part of its
operation and the hours of operation do not ex-
tend beyond 10:00 P.M."
SECTION 2. Section 11001 of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to add the use, to read as follows:

SECTION 3. The City Council finds and determines that
said amendment to the Municipal Code is a regulatory action by a
public agency and is, therefore, categorically exempt (Class 8)
from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act
of 1970.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law.
