ORDINANCE NO.1364
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 10702.09 OF
ARTICLE X, CHAPTER 1, PART VII RELATING TO MECHAN-
ICAL EQUIPMENT IN THE R-A AND R-1 ZONES.
(AMENDMENT NO. 140)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 10702.09" of the West Covina Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"10702.09 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
a) Mechanical equipment shall not be permitted
in the required side yard or front yard.
Mechanical equipment shall not be permitted
within five (5) feet of the portion of a
rear property line that abuts an adjoining
required side yard.
c) Air conditioning and heating ducting shall
not be exposed on roofs."
SECTION 2. The City Council finds and determines that the
revisions in the zoning provisions of the West Covina Municipal Code
as contained in this ordinance is a minor alteration in the land use
regulations and as such is categorically exempt under the California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
